Emerald

Emerald is the green variety of the mineral beryl and is the most famous and favoured green gemstone. Its beautiful green colour and rarity make it one of the most valuable gemstones in the world. Emerald's green colour is caused by chromium impurities, with a deep green being the most desired colour. In Emeralds and Emerald jewellery, the paler the colour of green, the less its value.
