Cubic Zirconia

Cubic Zirconia is a completely artificially produced gemstone that nonetheless has some attractive properties. It’s optically flawless and usually perfectly clear, but may be made in a variety of different colours by the addition of metal oxide “dopants” during manufacture. Its low cost, durability, and surface similarity to diamond (it’s sometimes marketed under the brand name of "diamonique”) have made it a popular synthetic stone for all sorts of Cubic Zirconia jewellery that may lack intrinsic and financial value, but still exude sparkle and romance.
