Azurite
Azurite is a beautiful blue coloured stone formed from the oxidation of copper ores. It’s found in many places including Australia, Chile, France, Russia, Africa, Egypt, Peru, Namibia and China. The name Azurite is derived from the Persian word ‘lajward’ which means ‘blue’ and other names associated with Azurite are 'Blue Bice' and 'Blue Verditer’. Azurite jewellery balances both left and right sides of the brain to awaken intuition and awareness. This stone can be used as a calming stone for stress, worry, grief, fear and sadness. Azurite jewellery is also said to be useful for the relief of pain, especially in the joints. Azurite is associated with the astrological sign Taurus (21 Apr - 20 May)
