Apatite

Apatite is found in Burma, Brazil, India, Madagascar, Kenya, Mexico, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and in the northern hemisphere in Norway and the United States. It takes its name from the Greek 'to deceive' because it so closely resembles other stones like tourmaline, peridot and beryl. It is said that Apatite jewellery helps to attune the inner self and assists in healing, communication, and the restoration of balance. Apatite gemstones not only help in appetite suppression, but facilitate an individual to introspect and see the truths within themselves.
